San Antonio is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around San Antonio is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Unfortunately, this place was a disappointment. They donβt provide eating utensils, and they were unable to slice a loaf of sourdough bread. They also donβt offer any milk alternatives for coffee, and coffee refills arenβt complimentary. The cinnamon roll was dry, had very little cinnamon, and tasted like mostly sweet bread with an overwhelming amount of sugar. The blueberry kolache was just average and nothing memorable. Overall, the experience didnβt meet my expectations, and I wonβt be returning..

Just had the best experience at Broadway Daily Bread in San Antonio! I originally went in just for the cinnamon rolls, and they did not disappointβhonestly some of the best Iβve had. Theyβre super airy and fluffy, packed with cinnamon filling, but not overly sugary. I also picked up a cinnamon pecan roll croissant and a soft cream coffee roll, and both were delicious. It's a fantastic local spot and I'll definitely be returning!

A young lady, who appeared to look of mixed race (black and white) was rude to me. I called and asked if they had pecan bars? (I was already on my way to the store.) I was told they did. I tried to pay for 4 over the phone, she refused. She said it was because it was the day before Easter. When I arrived at the bakery, a few minutes later, she told me they were sold out. I reminded her that I was the person that called. Another young lady intervened and said, "I should have paid for them when I called in". I explained, I tried to. So, I ended up buying cookies, that were sub par. I watched the ladies check out other customers before me, those customers were all white. They bagged their food up and thanked each of them. My turn came (african american), I was given my total, and handed my cookies, without being put in a bag. So, in turn, asked if I could have a bag? The young lady replied yes, with a smirk on her face, and handed me a bag. I placed my own cookies in the bag. To me, it was clear the staff did not want my business, and did not want to serve me. Through the years, I have made a point to go to daily bread when I visit San Antonio. The service was never great, but, n

Always a great variety of baked goods. Love their lemon and pecan bars as well as the blueberry muffin. Recommend you go early for a great selection. We went on a Saturday morning so parking in front was available.

The best pastries in San Antonio, hands down. 10 stars! The prices are very reasonable. I told the cashier that we had never been there and asked what she recommended. She gave a quick intro to all the current options (and let us know what other pastries they make and which ones are likely to sell out) and her personal favorites. She was very friendly, sweet, and helpful. There's an actual coffee bar, which I've never seen in San Antonio, and my husband was incredibly happy being able to try the four caffeinated options (there was one decaf). He loved the hazelnut and the Costa Rican. We couldn't stop raving to each other about the monkey bread - that was our favorite. I devoured the pecan roll. The cinnamon roll and muffin were both delicious. They had a ton of different pecan options - a bakery after my own baking heart. My only complaints would be no bathroom (my hands were sticky after eating the pecan roll) and a very small space to sit and enjoy your pastries, but it's very easy to get a box of pastries to go.
